UFO Researcher Says Strange Object ‘Passing the Moon’ Is Proof of Alien Life

UFO and extraterrestrial (ET) phenomena have been gaining a lot of traction in recent years, especially thanks to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Countless government agencies have declassified an overwhelming number of documents exposing not only the existence of UFOs, but the frequency at which they’re spotted them as well.Even if you’re unfamiliar with the evidence in support of ET life, most people can admit that it’s unlikely that we’re alone in the cosmos. In the Milky Way alone, there are more Earth-like, potentially habitable planets than there are grains of sand on Earth. With this logic, it is extremely unlikely that we’re the only species inhabiting one of these planets. However, with the number of UFOs spotted and documented evidence and witness testimonies of ET life, the subject is no longer debatable.

Of course, UFOs don’t necessarily equate to extraterrestrial technology; they could be man-made in many cases. For example, a few days ago, UFO YouTube channel SecureTeam10 released a video that showcases an alleged UFO flying in front of the moon. The researchers reported that the footage was taken by a Middle Eastern observatory in Oman.

SecureTeam10 is a group of UFO experts who track down clips, investigate footage, and put their findings out to an eager audience online. In the video, the presenter takes an objective view, explaining that many people have speculated online that the object could really be anything, from ET technology to a man-made craft to simply a meteor.

The presenter notes that the object seems to be giving off some sort of smoke, as if it’s flying by the moon. However, he does provide footage to compare what it looks like when a commercial airliner flies by the moon, and it’s clearly quite different in appearance.

SecureTeam10 owner Tyler Glockner said, “If you’ll notice the way it’s sort of moving sideways across the front of this beautiful shot of the moon here, which also makes it difficult for me to say that it’s an airliner or a plane of some sort.”

To me, it’s not clear what exactly the object filmed is. I do think it’s interesting that this footage hasn’t made any sort of mainstream news, but perhaps that’s because things that relate to UFOs and ETs rarely do. That doesn’t mean that people aren’t interested in this type of content, but rather simply speaks to the level of secrecy involved with it.In fact, the most popular FBI document online is a memo regarding a UFO crash that occurred in New Mexico in 1950. This document has been viewed over a million times and is only a page long, but contains information on flying saucers, a subject that clearly fascinates many. Despite the increasing level of interest, mainstream media and government organizations continuously try to keep us in the dark. Back in January of 2015, NASA cut the feed of a video that showed a small grey object slowly rising and then disappearing. There is no saying whether it’s an extraterrestrial space craft or not, but it’s unidentified, and it’s curious that NASA would cut the feed right at this time.

And on July 9th, 2016, another video from the International Space Station feed showed an object entering Earth’s atmosphere and moments later the feed was cut. Once again, we cannot say whether or not this is an ET controlled UFO, but this was clearly an unidentified object and yet again NASA cut the feed. NASA has intervened and tried to block the public from learning more about UFOs time and time again, but why?

It’s not just political figures like John Podesta and former astronauts and military personnel who have spoken out about this subject, either. There are tons of documents that have been declassified in recent years that clearly suggest ET life is very real.

One document that’s particularly notable is another FBI file that specifically discusses ET life.

Clearly, there’s a lot that we’re not being told by those in power in regards to UFOs and ET life. I do believe that everything serves a purpose, so perhaps on a deeper level not everyone is completely ready for full disclosure. However, I don’t think that the government should have the right to determine this; I think we should be able to determine that for ourselves.

The Most Popular FBI Document Is This UFO Memo

Over a period of only two years, this FBI document has been viewed approximately a million times and is the most popular document on the FBI’s website. It’s only a page long, but it’s gained enough popularity that it has people wondering more about the UFO phenomenon.

The FBI document is a memo dated May 22, 1950 written by Guy Hottel, who was the head of the FBI field office in Washington, D.C. at the time. The memo was addressed to former Director J. Edgar Hoover and recorded and indexed in FBI records. You can read the full document on the FBI website here.

The memo discussed a testimony told to an FBI agent by a third party who stated an Air Force investigator had reported that three “flying saucers” were found in New Mexico. The memo stated:

“They [the saucers] were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter. Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only three feet tall, dressed in metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed fliers and test pilots.”

The saucers were recovered because the government’s “high-powered radar” had allegedly interfered with “the controlling mechanism of the saucers.” The memo concludes by stating that “no further evaluation was attempted.” It seems strange that such an important finding wouldn’t be further investigated, which begs the question: Why didn’t this merit further research? Why weren’t the three bodies heavily tested? Perhaps they were, but like many other topics related to UFO and ET phenomena, we’re being kept in the dark.

This wasn’t the first UFO sighting in New Mexico either. One of the most infamous UFO crashes took place only a few years prior in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico.

The Mysterious Roswell UFO Sighting

For years, conspiracy theorists and journalists alike deemed the Roswell incident as one of the most obvious pieces of evidence covered up by the U.S. government regarding extraterrestrial life to date.

Although the official FBI memo released regarding this event only describes the appearance of the “flying disc,” which you can read about in the FBI Vault here, there’s far more to the story.

On July 8, 1947, local newspaper Roswell Daily Record published an article titled  “RAAF Captures Flying Saucer On Ranch in Roswell Region.” However, later that day the story mysteriously changed after a press conference stated that it wasn’t a UFO that was found, but rather a crashed weather balloon.

Many people questioned this, including Colonel Phillip Corso, Sr., who was an Army intelligence officer that served on Eisenhower’s National Security Council. Following his 21-year military career, he served as a military analyst. He made a public figure of himself by acknowledging that he personally witnessed deceased extraterrestrials from the Roswell crash.
In the following video, he discusses his initial encounter as well as having seen UFOs travel at 4,000 miles an hour on radar. He discusses how, during his employment in R&D, he was given fragments of extraterrestrial technologies from various crashes.

Corso describes the deceased aliens as having a brain completely different than that of humans. They had no nose or mouth, no digestive system, and no reproductive organs. “They are more humanoid beings than anything else,” he says in the video. “Their spaceship is composed of durable metals and are biological in nature; nothing like we’ve ever seen.”

Why We Need UFO Disclosure 

Although it’s still unclear as to what happened during both of these events in New Mexico, one thing’s for certain: There’s an overwhelming amount of evidence in support of UFOs. Despite the government’s immense efforts to keep us in the dark, we are slowly but surely discovering more about UFOs and ETs.

As Senator Barry Goldwater, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said:

“This thing has gotten so highly-classified… it is just impossible to get anything on it. I have no idea who controls the flow of need-to-know because, frankly, I was told in such an emphatic way that it was none of my business that I’ve never tried to make it to be my business since. I have been interested in this subject for a long time and I do know that whatever the Air Force has on the subject is going to remain highly classified.” (source)

Even John Podesta has spoken out about UFO disclosure. Podesta wrote the statement below as part of the foreword for Leslie Kean’s 2010 New York Times bestseller, UFOs: Generals, Pilots, And Government Officials Go On The Record:

“I’m skeptical about many things, including the notion that government always knows best, and that the people can’t be trusted with the truth. The time to pull the curtain back on this subject is long overdue. NASA Is Ready to Announce Alien Life: All Protocols Are Set Up

In a universe that is practically infinite, it would be extremely egocentric of anyone to suggest that life on earth represents the only intelligent life in the universe. Many people, researchers included, pose the argument that in all these years of technological prosperity of the human civilization, no sign of life has been found in outer space despite the best efforts of organizations like SETI. This problem is further propounded with Drake’s Equation.

The Drake equation estimates, roughly, how many planets may be inhabited by intelligent life. It seeks to quantify the question, “Are we alone?” So far, the conclusion of the equation is that with so many habitable planets out there, it is astonishing that no contact has been established with extraterrestrial life in all of human history. Therefore, one must conclude that there is no intelligent extraterrestrial life in the universe.
There is one problem with the Drake Equation. The equation overestimates the human being’s competency in collecting data from space. Scientists, despite their admirable persistence and best efforts, have only been able to explore an infinitesimally small volume of the universe. The conclusion that humans have not discovered aliens yet means there are no aliens is analogous to the someone scooping up the ocean water in a glass and saying there are no whales in the ocean because none are swimming in their glass. With the recent discovery of the exoplanet system TRAPPIST - 1, the odds of finding life on other planets have never been higher. The question now arises about how one should contact an alien civilization if and when the presence of intelligent life has been established. The book by NASA titled ‘Archaeology, Anthropology and Interstellar Communication’ focuses on this scenario. It would be difficult to determine whether the aliens are peaceful or barbaric; whether they are conquerors or explorers; whether they relish human meat or not.

The “Hollywood scientist” Neil Degrasse Tyson posits that the human body is made up of the same matter that is abundant in the universe and it is unlikely that intelligent life did not come into existence on other planets. When coming in contact with such a civilization, the very first impediment is to find a common “language.” One can reasonably assume that aliens do not speak the tongue of humans. They might not use sound as their method of communication at all. The book by NASA tackles this issue and proposes some ways in which human beings could communicate with the aliens.

The question of whether or not we are alone is as old as time itself. The question should now be restated as whether or not we are going to ever come in contact with an alien civilization. And if we do, would we have found in them an ally or a foe?

Nuclear Physicist Warns: Aliens Are Here on Earth and Will Take Over

One of Canada’s top nuclear physicists went on record to admit that aliens are already among us and that they make visits to Earth regularly. Stanton Friedman said that extraterrestrials had visited Earth many times and one day they plan on quarantining people on Earth.

Friedman, 82 years old, said that the government has deliberately been keeping secret evidence of alien visits to Earth, in what he said was part of a truth embargo. The Physicist went on to say that there is enough proof without any shadow of a doubt that Earth is continually being visited by aliens.

Friedman claims that the evidence is being kept from people due to the fact that the world would be in upheaval, as people would find alien visits distressing, and there would be mass panic. He also made it clear that if the aliens wanted people to know they were on Earth, they would.

Part of the proof that Friedman claims are being hidden include CIA files that have been declassified on sightings of UFOs. The physicist believes that aliens want to stop humans colonizing space and he firmly believes that they will quarantine people on Earth to stop humans from venturing out into space.

Friedman said that the track record of humans isn’t good; people are evil and said that the government is taking full advantage of the aliens being on Earth so that they can harness their technology, with the aim of achieving world supremacy. It is the belief of Friedman that the first country able to copy alien technology will be able to rule Earth.

He also pointed out that there was a political aspect to the government keeping aliens on Earth a secret, as the US government would not want to put anything out there if the Chinese or Russians don’t.

Friedman has in the past written extensive documentation on aliens and UFOs, and he said the secrecy was the Cosmic Watergate, which of course was about the cover-up scandal of President Nixon, during the 70s. The physicist tours the world giving talks at conferences and universities about his beliefs, but it seems that there are many skeptics out there who he hasn’t been able to convince.

The NASA Footage That Captured a UFO in Space Heading Towards Earth, It Looks like We Shot at It…

Those of you who read our articles on UFOs and extraterrestrials will know that we like to emphasize how seriously this topic is taken by government agencies around the world. Along with all the photos, documents, and statements from high ranking people, we also have officially verified UFO footage captured from amateur cameras, as well as footage of strange and inexplicable anomalies taken by NASA cameras. Below is one example out of many, and it comes from the the NASA STS-48 Discovery Space Shuttle that went into orbit in 1991.

In the video, you will see approximately twelve objects moving in a peculiar fashion. The most fascinating part occurs when one object, at a point near the horizon, is heading toward Earth and, as a flash occurs at the 33 second mark, another object moves rapidly across the field of view, and the object heading toward Earth shoots off into outer space at high speed.

Scientific Analysis of the Video

“There is another way, whether it’s wormholes or warping space, there’s got to be a way to generate energy so that you can pull it out of the vacuum, and the fact that they’re here shows us that they found a way.” (source)

The statement above comes from Dr. Jack Kasher, Ph.D, Professor Emeritus of Physics at the University of Nebraska. He is one out of multiple physicists (and scientists) to examine the above footage. The fact that the entire world saw this footage meant that some sort of explanation had to be given, as the film attracted a great deal of attention, and rightfully so. It is difficult to dismiss seeing strange glowing objects floating around and then sharply changing direction.

Multiple scientific papers were published regarding the footage. One study, published in New Frontiers Science by Dr. Mark J. Carlotto, outlined that this particular video “provides new insight into a number of unusual events captured by a camera aboard the space shuttle Columbia in 1996,” and describes them as “two slow moving circular objects,” “a number of fast moving objects in space near the shuttle,” and a “strange luminous apparition near the earth’s surface.” The author then tells us that “the two slow moving circular objects have attracted a great deal of popular interest due to their disk-like shape.” Finally, before getting into the analysis, the author states that “this is one of the most unusual phenomena observed to date by the shuttle. Its similarity to certain ground-based sightings suggests that it might represent the first observation of a new kind of atmospheric phenomenon from space.” (source)

Carlotto is an image scientist with 30 years of experience in satellite remote sensing and digital image processing. He has held several positions in academia and industry. You can learn more about him and find a few more of his publications here.

James Oberg, an American space journalist and historian who worked with/for NASA, published an article claiming that the flash in the STS-48 video was the result of thruster firing, which led to the disruption of ice particles as a result.
But an examination published in New Frontiers Science by Lan Fleming refuted the ice particle claim, stating that the telemetry data doesn’t support this theory. The paper published by Carlotto (above) also refutes this claim.

An independent analysis by Dr. Jack Kasher (quoted above) produced five proofs that the objects seen in the video could not be ice particles disturbed by thruster firing.

Carlotto found that instead of the objects following a linear path, many of them travel in circular arcs, which implies the objects were far from the space shuttle and moving at a high rate of speed.

This is pretty bizarre and shocking footage that really has no solid explanation. If we look at all of the evidence surrounding the UFO phenomenon and the extraterrestrial hypothesis (with its own attendant evidence) as a possible explanation, this really does become difficult to dismiss as a conspiracy theory.

Crop Circle Mystery: Did Aliens Land in Argentina?

The latest in crop circle phenomena hits a small sleepy Argentine town.

Residents in Carmen de Areco woke up on March 13 to find three identical crop circles had appeared overnight in a local airfield, next to Highway 7.


Carmen de Areco, is a Partido of Buenos Aires Province in Argentina, and is located some 140 km (87 mi) from Buenos Aires and has a population of approximately 12,000 inhabitants.

Overnight Crop Circles Mystify Small Argentian Town Residents

As can be seen in the photograph and in the video, the vehicle on the highway gives an indication of the size of the circles.

Local residents are now wondering whether they have witnessed extraterrestrial beings at work.

Many theorists now believe that this latest in a long line of unexplained crop circles could well be down to the work of alien involvement.

The circles all possess the same circumference, and the grass is yellowed and dried, while the grass on either side of the circles is green and healthy. 

It is being speculated that alien spacecraft could well have scorched the grass on either landing or takeoff.

Irrespective of alien involvement here, certainly it would appear that an energy source of some kind has to be for the three circle markings.

Local Mayor Marcelo Skanski told reporters that he had summoned experts from the UFO Study Commission of the Argentine Republic to investigate. The experts are led by Andrea Pérez Simondini from CEFORA, which is dedicated to investigate and declassify aerial phenomena.

Skanski said the experts were intrigued by the uniformity and precision of the circles and as a consequence were not ruling out an alien element.

The investigators took grass samples for further analysis and investigation by the Agronomy department of the University of Buenos Aires.

Only time will tell if alien life forms have visited us here on earth in Argentina.

The Roswell Rock: the Key to Another Dimension?

Finding a rock isn't something unusual. We see them all the time, yes some can be beautiful and maybe worth collecting. Some may hold secrets of past life by having fossils found within. But this particular rock which was discovered near one of the two legendary alien crash sites in Roswell, New Mexico is like no other rock ever found before.

The rock which was found by a 56-year-old man by the name of Robert L. Ridge back in 2004 seems to be truly a unique find. According to Mr. Ridge, he discovered the rock while out bow collecting and just happened to catch his eye, with good reason. Although completely covered in dirt at the time there was still something strange about the object that caught his interest. When he took the rock home to be cleaned, he found that it was even more of a mystery than he first thought. The rock was perfectly smooth and rounded, but this was just the beginning of what was different about it. Turns out that this rock also mysterious symbols on it. The only way to describe the symbols on the rock were that these seem to resemble the unexplained crop circles that have also appeared on the earth with no given explanation. The symbols on the rock were like two crescent moons that were joined in the center corners. 

Given the proximity of the rock to one of the notorious Roswell alien crash sites could it be something that was carried on one of the space crafts? According to Mr. Ridge, the look of the rock makes it almost seem impossible that such an object could have an origin to the planet earth given it's smooth and perfect edges along with the pattern. Some who have seen this rock believe that it could have been left by the aliens as a message to the earth. It is believed that maybe the aliens were trying to warn the earth of what could be an impending doom. 

These, however, are just theories about what the rock cold mean. So far the origins or even the fact that this rock does have any true purpose is still a mystery that is out. Kind of like the famed alien crash sites in Roswell, New Mexico.

UFO Spotted Above Mount Everest in a 2 Billion Pixel Photograph

Year after year, hundreds of mountaineers climb Mount Everest. Their dream is to conquer the highest mountain on earth.

David Breashears is a well-known mountaineer that summited Mount Everest 5 times and is mostly known for his amazing Imax video that was recorded in 1996 during the tragic event in which eight climbers died because they were trapped by a blizzard near the summit. These events are well documented in Jon Krakauer's bestselling book "Into thin air".

In 2012 David Breashears created a stunning 2 billion pixel photograph of Mount Everest to investigate the impact of global warming in the Himalayans.

This amazing photo shows us Mount Everest in all it's glory. We see the tents at basecamp where more than 500 climbers start their journey towards the top. The Khumbu icefall is the first hurdle that mountaineers need to pass. Once they passed this maze of seracs and crevasses, they reach camp three by climbing the vertical wall of the Lhotse face. Their final push to the top is done via the southeast ridge.

When we zoom in on one of the neighboring mountains, we can see a UFO flying at an altitude higher than Mount Everest (that's 29,029 ft, the cruising altitude of a Boeing 747 airplane).


There are many stories and legends of the legendary Vimanas, flying machines that were described in ancient text in the Himalayans. This picture could prove they exist.

Project Blue Book: the Air Force's UFO Program

12,618 reported UFO sightings have been investigated by Project Blue Book.

 It has been reported that over the 18 years that Nathan Robert "Rosie" Rosengarten has been investigating UFOs, he has never found any extraterrestrials. 

Rosengarten was a retired Air Force colonel who died last week at the age of 101. The declassified program named Project Blue Book is just now being learned about by many who did not know it existed before. The program has analyzed and investigated thousands of reported UFO sightings from the years of 1952 to 1970. 

The following are the top 5 topics to be aware of regarding Project Blue Book. 

Many sightings were probed: There were 12,618 sightings reported around the world by Project Blue Book. This took place at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with Project Sign and Project Grudge acting as forerunners to the project. 

Typical Dayton report from March of 1967: Red and white revolving lights were reported by a 34-year-old. The lights were reportedly traveling at very high speeds, then hovering, then disappearing past the horizon. This happened with the lights producing no smoke or noise. 

The witness assured that it was not an aircraft, helicopter, or star. A weather balloon and swamp gas were also ruled out as possible culprits. 

"It makes no difference if you want to believe me or if anyone believes me for that matter" the man stated. "It was something alien-like and I know what I saw." 

No explanations for hundreds of sightings: Although the sighting reports reached into the thousands, over 700 never gained an explanation. This information was stated in a letter released by officials at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. U-2 and SR-71 spy planes were to blame for over half of the reported sightings, which was concluded by a CIA report from 1992. 

Alien discoveries? 0: Project Blue Book concluded that none of the UFO sightings investigated by them were ever a threat to national security. It was also stated that the objects under investigation did not behave or operate outside of the realm of modern technology at the time. No signs pointed to the objects being associated with aliens or extraterrestrial beings. 

Cyberspace now the home for Blue Book: In 1969, Project Blue Book hung up its hat for the last time and retired. Wright-Patterson also claims it no longer investigates or documents UFO reports. Even though these types of records have been declassified for quite some time, they call a microfiche at the National Archives home now. The accessibility of the documents was made more readily available in 2015 when UFO researcher from California (John Greenwald, Jr.) posted upwards of 130,000 pages on a website named Black Vault.

Triangle UFO Dips Low over Pennsylvania Witness

A Pennsylvania witness at Dauphin reported watching a low flying, triangle-shaped object with a metallic-like appearance that “simply disappeared,” according to testimony in Case 82087 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was driving near home at 8:30 p.m. on February 14, 2017, when the incident occurred.

“My attention was drawn to a triangular object in the sky quickly flying toward me,” the witness stated.“It was low and had a couple of alternating, brightly flashing, white lights with a red light. There were several other smaller, flashing white lights that outlined the rectangular shape.”

The object then shifted direction toward the witness.

“I was drawn to watch it, so I stopped in the middle of the road. It descended and flew directly over my car. When I looked up through my sunroof, I could see it had a metallic-like appearance (but it wasn’t smooth) and an irregular light pattern. It quickly started a slight ascension, made a quick 90-degree direction change and simply disappeared. The entire event was only a couple of minutes in duration. It happened so quickly, it was difficult to take pictures.”


Dauphin is a borough in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, population 791. Pennsylvania MUFON State Section Director Julia Weiss closed this case as an Unknown. Please remember that most UFO sightings can be explained as something natural or man-made.

New Book claims Human Beings came from another planet, not Earth

A balloon returned from a high-altitude flight this year covered in microscopic life forms which seemed not to be of this world - and reignited the debate over whether life on Earth actually began here, or somewhere else.

This year, other scientists have argued that life originated on Mars, due to a mineral found in Martian meteorites, thought to be crucial to the genesis of life. Another experiment showed that amino acids could have arrived in impacts with comets - which suggests life might be widespread in the solar system.

But a new book by American ecologist Dr Ellis Silver argues that humans may well not be from Earth - and may have arrived separately. Silver offers arguments, based on human physiology, that suggest we may not have evolved alongside other life on Earth - but arrived from elsewhere, brought here by aliens as recently as a few tens of thousands of years ago. 

Silver, an environmentalist  who is currently working with the effort to clean plastic debris from the Pacific, says his book aims to provoke debate - and is based on scientific work on the difference between humans and other animals.

“The Earth approximately meets our needs as a species, but perhaps not as strongly as whoever brought us here initially thought,” Silver said in an interview with Yahoo news. 

“Lizards can sunbathe for as long as they like - and many of them do. We can just about get away with it for a week or two. But day after day in the sun? Forget it. You might as well just lie down on the freeway and wait for a bus to hit you.” We are dazzled by the sun, which is also odd, says Silver - most animals are not.
Silver claims that some chronic illnesses that plague the human race - such as bad backs - could be a sign we evolved on a world with lower gravity. Silver points to other unique human traits - such as the fact that babies’ heads are so large that women have trouble giving birth - in earlier eras, this was often fatal for mother, child or both.

“No other truly native species on this planet has this problem,” he says. Silver also points out to the “extra” 223 genes in human beings, which are not found in any other species, and to the lack of a fossil “missing link”. 

Silver chose not to publish in a scientific imprint, wanting to inspire open debate. Reviewers have compared Silver to other space-gazing theorists such as Erich von Däniken, while others have said, “it is possible to drive a coach and horses through several of his arguments.”

Silver also claims that the human race has defects that mark us out as being possibly “not of this world”. 

“We are all chronically ill,” says Silver. “Indeed, if you can find a single person who is 100% fit and healthy and not suffering from some (perhaps hidden or unstated) condition or disorder (there's an extensive list in the book) I would be extremely surprised - I have not been able to find anyone.”

 
“I believe that many of our problems stem from the simple fact that our internal body clocks have evolved to expect a 25 hour day (this has been proven by sleep researchers), but the Earth's day is only 24 hours. This is not a modern condition - the same factors can be traced all the way back through mankind's history on Earth.”

Silver does not suggest one answer - but a possibility that early pre-humans such as homo erectus were crossbred with another species. He also suggests several possible origins, including Alpha Centauri. 

“Mankind is supposedly the most highly developed species on the planet, yet is surprisingly unsuited and ill-equipped for Earth's environment: harmed by sunlight, a strong dislike for naturally occurring (raw) foods, ridiculously high rates of chronic disease, and more. Plus there's a prevailing feeling among many people that they don't belong here or that something "just isn't right".

“This suggests (to me at least) that mankind may have evolved on a different planet, and we may have been brought here as a highly developed species. One reason for this, discussed in the book, is that the Earth might be a prison planet - since we seem to be a naturally violent species - and we're here until we learn to behave ourselves.” 

“Humans are not from Earth was published mainly to gauge reaction from readers and to provoke thought, particularly among those who might not have considered such a possibility before.” 

Ellis hopes that readers will contact him with more evidence for a more extensive follow-up work. 

The claim that bacteria are arriving from space has also caused controversy - and revived the idea of “panspermia”, where life from Earth might have “pollinated” other planets nearby.. 

"There is probably truth to the report that they find curious stuff in the atmosphere," Chris McKay, an astrobiologist at NASA told SPACE.com in an interview. "The jump to the conclusion that it is alien life is a big jump and would require quite extraordinary proof."

Professor Wainwright and his colleagues at the University of Sheffield aim to conduct further tests.

“In the absence of a mechanism by which large particles like these can be transported to the stratosphere, we can only conclude that the biological entities originated from space," Wainwright added. 

"Our conclusion then is that life is continually arriving to Earth from space, life is not restricted to this planet and it almost certainly did not originate here."

Silver’s more radical idea is presented as polemic, intended to inspire argument - “Initial reaction has been positive, although one reviewer thought it was a parody, while another found the writing style heavily dictatorial,” he admits. 

The debate over the origin of life looks set to intensify. Simulations on supercomputers at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the U.S. have found that amino acids, the building blocks of life, could have arrived on Earth via comets.

This would suggest that life might be found elsewhere in our solar system - or even beyond. 

Nir Goldman suggests that the simple molecules found in comets (such as water, ammonia, and carbon dioxide) could have supplied the raw materials, and the impact with early Earth could have “ignited” a prebiotic reaction.

A series of experiments where projectiles were fired into a cometary ice mixtures formed amino acids - the building blocks of life.


     

"These results confirm our earlier predictions of impact synthesis of prebiotic material, where the impact itself can yield life-building compounds," Goldman said. "These results present a significant step forward in our understanding of the origin of the building blocks of life. This increases the chances of life originating and being widespread throughout our solar system," Goldman said.

Silver wants to pose the question of whether humans arrived separately, “Recent scientific reports suggest that life itself might not be from Earth but might have arrived here on meteors or comets. This primitive form of life then evolved over billions of years into what we find on Earth today. 

“My thesis proposes that mankind did not evolve from that particular strain of life, but evolved elsewhere and was transported to Earth (as fully evolved Homo sapiens) between 60,000 and 200,000 years ago.”

“Little in the book can be proven - it can only be supposed or suspected. But there is more than enough indisputable evidence to make further study worthwhile.”
