Couple Has Three Sets Of Twins All Born On The Same Day

Carrie and Craig Kosinki decided to adopt their first set of twins shortly after getting married.

They were approached by an acquaintance who asked them if they would like to adopt her child and they agreed. On February 28, 2014, the twin girls, Kenna and Adalynn were born.

“We got Contacted by a high school friend of mine when she was pregnant asking if we would be interested in adopting her babies that she was currently pregnant with. It took us awhile to agree that we would do it but we finally agreed that that was what God had in store for us,” Carrie wrote on GoFundMe.

“Then about a year later we got contacted again from her asking if we would be willing to take in the older set of twins (siblings of the younger set that we have) we finally agreed to and now we are wanting to make both sets a permanent part of our family,” Carried continued. At the time, the older twins, CeCe and JJ were 2-years-old at the time and were also born on February 28, 2013.

Because the couple wanted to keep the siblings together, they agreed and they started the process of adopting all four kids together. “We wanted to adopt them to make them a permanent part of our family,” Carrie said. Carrie recalls not even realizing that the two sets of twin girls had the same birthday until the date approached. “We only have to remember the same birthday, which is nice, but they are probably going to hate it when they’re older,” Carrie said.

In an even crazier twist of fate, Carrie, who was told she couldn’t have kids due to severe endometriosis, became pregnant with twins in 2015. “We contacted our fertility doctor. He suggested we put two embryos in, but he said the chance of them both sticking was 20 percent,” said Carrie.

Miraculously, both of the eggs fertilized. “We were very shocked. We were like ‘oh my God we are going to have three sets of twins. What are we going to do with ourselves?'” Carrie said. The twins were born prematurely at only 24 weeks and were delivered via C-section weighing only 1.6 pounds.

At the time, Carrie wasn’t even thinking about their birth date- also February 28, since her only concern was her babies health. “At the time it didn’t even occur to me. I was like, ‘Are my children going to live?’ But, after the fact when we knew everything was going well, we thought this is crazy and what are the odds?” Carrie said.

The couple wound up starting a GoFundMe page to help with the adoption costs of their two sets of twins, and they’ve already exceeded their goal of $13,000. “We are very grateful for all of your donations. We can’t thank you enough for helping us,” Carrie wrote on GoFundMe.

They told InsideEdition they hope to make the adoption official by June. “We don’t want to live with any what-ifs,” she said.
